- PROJECT
Monarto South
We provide the land, infrastructure, and regulatory foundation that hyperscale data center operators and renewable energy providers need before they can build anything of their own.
- MONARTO SOUTH, SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Site Overview
This project is the largest logistics centre in South Australia, with a total building area of 64,459 square meters and a total land area of 36.5 hectares.
Over the past 15 years, the logistics centre has been used by the famous Australian department store Big W. After acquiring this asset at the end of 2021, VIMG has actively managed leases and introduced VALO as a 7-year tenant, doubling the assessed value of the property within six months.
VIMG is currently planning to repurpose the site into a renewable energy project and a data centre.
- AI COMPUTE CAMPUS
Project Information
Strategically positioned just 65 km from Adelaide along South Australia’s primary freight and energy corridor, the Monarto South site offers an exceptional foundation for hyperscale and AI infrastructure, featuring 36.5 hectares of industrial land and an existing 64,459 m² building.
- POWER & RENEWABLES ACCESS
Firm connection with renewables
Monarto combines firm ElectraNet high-voltage
connectivity with flexible South Australian renewables and BESS options, supporting resilience, emissions reduction, cost management and enhanced grid services.
- STRATEGIC PROXIMITY TO ADELAIDE
Perfect positioning
65km southeast of Adelaide via the M1, close enough for workforce, logistics and low-latency real-time processing, far enough for scale, security and disaster-recovery separation.
- POPULATION ACCESS & BUFFER
Workforce without the metro fringe
Between two of the state’s fastest-growing regional centres, on 36.5 industrial-zoned hectares with natural acoustic and security buffers.
- GOVERNMENT SUPPORT
Strategic policy alignment
State Government alignment can accelerate approvals, coordinate grid and renewable-energy planning, and position Monarto to capture global data-centre investment, regional employment and long-term economic value for South Australia.
